Ticketing Code of Practice Reviews

Live Performance Australia (LPA) is conducting two reviews of the Ticketing Code of Practice concurrently.

How can the Ticketing Code of Practice be improved?

Call for submissions into the triennial review on improvements

A requirement of the Ticketing Code of Practice (Ticketing Code) is that every three years the independent Code Reviewer undertakes a review of the operation of the Ticketing Code and makes recommendations on improvements/changes to the Ticketing Code. As such, the Code Reviewer seeks feedback from LPA Members and the general public on ways the Ticketing Code could be improved or changed.

LPA will collect submissions to provide to the Code Reviewer. Therefore, please provide submissions in writing to Kim Tran, LPA’s Director, Policy & Governance:

  • by email or
  • by post to Level 1, 15-17 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.

If you are unable to make a written submission, please contact Kim Tran via email or (03) 8614 2000 and she will consider alternative options for you.

Submissions are due by Friday 7 July 2023.

What is your organisation’s level of compliance with the Ticketing Code of Practice?

Calling on all LPA Members to complete the compliance survey

A requirement of the Ticketing Code is that every two years the independent Code Reviewer undertakes a review and prepares a report on the level of LPA Members’ compliance with the Ticketing Code.

LPA asks the best placed staff member within each LPA Member organisation to complete the compliance survey by Friday 7 July 2023. The results of this survey form the basis of the Code Reviewer’s report.

Why is it important for Members to complete the compliance survey?

  • Compliance with the Codes is a condition of LPA membership and it is the responsibility of all Members to report on their level of compliance by responding to the survey.
  • A copy of the Compliance Report is made publically available and is provided directly to government departments or agencies responsible for administration of Consumer Laws (e.g. ACCC). Therefore it is important for LPA to provide a thorough and accurate analysis of our industry’s compliance.
  • The survey is an important tool to gauge the effectiveness and reach of the Codes, as well as to identify where further education or assistance is required in the industry.

LPA Members should refer to recent communications which outlines full details about the compliance survey.
