Work Health & Safety

Under Work Health and Safety legislation, it is the responsibility of the employer to:

  • Maintain a safe workplace
  • Maintain current Workers' Compensation insurance
  • Protect yourself and your workers from financial hardship in the event of a workplace injury
  • Employers should also be aware that bullying in the workplace can constitute a work health and safety hazard.

LPA Members can LOGIN to have access to more information about their obligations under Work Health and Safety legislation.

LPA developed the Safety Guidelines for Entertainment Industry for the Live Performance Industry in 2002. These guidelines are currently under review and some of the new draft guidelines are available for comment now.
